But why did they crop off the "hosted by PlanetCatfish.com" logo?
That would have been even better then ;)

I know the seller of these, He's a member of our local club - SVAS
As far as i am aware he made sure he got permission to use the photo before he had them made up.
I'll check with him who/where he got the permission from and post back.....

They are my phonecases i have had done. I had permission for every image i used. bijn is right its from zebrapleco site not PC. Who i contacted and had no problem me using their images. The killifish and firemouth are from a very well known american artist who paints oil paintings off fish and the malawi is from Tony african cichlids.

I am abit disapointed with the messages i have recieved though ebay today. People should get their facts right before jumping on me. If the image on zebrapleco site is in deed PC your problem is with them. But once you have given your image to somebody else for their site you cant claim copyrights on it. Rob who runs zebrapleco site said there was no problem using any image on his site.
"immediately remove this zebra pleco i phone case from ebay, or pay $300 for the commercial usage for the image you have stolen from me. I am sure you are aware that you can not simply take an image off the web and use it for any purpose"
"Where did you get the image from? It looks surprisingly similar to the one here:
http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/im ... age_id=461
(it is facing the other way, but that's because we at Planet Catfish only reccently switched ALL images [with a small number of exceptions] around to face left rather than previous standard of facing right).
I take it you are aware that it's illegal to use someone elses image without the owners permission?"

I think the problem is twofold
first; regardless of the ownership by Zebrapleco; Planetcatfish is a LOT more well known than Zebrapleco.com......
so it's unfair, yes, but understandable
Zebrapleco cannot help that, it's just that PC has a worldwide following, so chances of encountering someone from PC on Ebay is a lot larger than someone from Zebrapleco on Ebay
second, IF the one who made these cases had thought of this, he'd asked for a picture that's not in the catelog.....
then the whole issue would be moot.
maybe that's something to think of; best use a pic that hasn't been in use before.....

There is some major confusion going on here. Jools is the owner of AquaticRepublic, Planetcatfish AND ZebraPleco.com.
"immediately remove this zebra pleco i phone case from ebay, or pay $300 for the commercial usage for the image you have stolen from me. I am sure you are aware that you can not simply take an image off the web and use it for any purpose"
I believe Oliver took this photo (I could be wrong). If he sent the above message then you owe him money. Jools does not own all the photos in the Cat-elog, so he can not give consent to use an image for commercial purposes unless he has purchased it, and even then it would depend on the sale contract's terms.
