Is there something as consanguinity problems in fish?
Is it OK to start ancistrus breeding with siblings or I should get new females from my LFS?

Like any breeding of animals, the ideal parents are unrelated fish. But a lot of fish that are captive bred are most likely from related parents...

Wow, I think you just won the prize for vocabulary word of the week!
As Mats said, an understanding of genetics will tell us that the offspring will usually be better off if the parents are not closely related.

Yes it's only thanks to a quick look on Wikipedia that I understand what that means...

Really! What's the price! Do I need to pay the shipping
Wow! I'm so proud I have made such a contribution to this forum on my first day on it
Now I know that the word I should have used is Inbreeding even if consanguinity is still good, it's less used in english! So I learned something too!
Now back to our subject!
I made some more research on other forums (mainly french ones!) and it appears that with only one generation of inbreeding chance of having genetic consequences are negligible.
I found this thread on another forum where some people have interesting post on that:

And thanks to all for your posts!

Bear in mind that nearly all ("purebred") dogs, cats and rabbits are thoroughly inbred - because the bred forms are "stabilized" by inbreeding.
But I would suggest that if you do breed your fish on a larger scale (selling the offspring) that you don't feel tempted to breed the offspring with each other (I think that's what you were saying anyways).
