I have just bought 4 Tawny glass catfish which according to my Baensch aquarium atlas are the above species. I can't find this species in the cat-e-log or a picture that looks quite right. Can i assume the name I have is out of date?
thanks

Thank you. Is the adult size in the Cat-e-log correct?

I'd say it's at least in that region.
Our size, most of the time, come from scientific literature or scientific databases, such as fishbase. We also use "Standard Length", which means "not counting the tail".
I also expect that Baensch atlas having identified it as O. sabanus - which is now Kryptopterus sabanus - it is a bit larger - fishbase says 15cm SL.
