Hello,

i receive thoses L-numbers as l129 (Hypancistrus debilittera), but i really think it's wrong, because of the forme of the back fin.

Here are some pics (made with an iPhone sorry)

Hello Dennis!!

En effet cela ressemble plus à du L333 qu'à des debilittera
They look more like L333 indeed!

The tail looks a little to forked to me to be L333.

Well, not totaly l333 but absolutly not l129. I don't think they are l066 neighter because of the fat stripes. L066 have tinier stripes, even if they are juvenils.

I also don't think they are L340...Actually they really look more to L333. Other opinions?

Thanks for helping,
Denis

Eventually L401!!
But they look rather small, aren't they??
Still think they are L333 we see around here!!

They are about 5cm (2 inches). If we dont look the back fin, the coloration looks like this yong l333 ( third and forth picture on the right)

At this size there are many similar looking Hypancistrus but I agree with plecoboy that they seem to be L66 because of their deeply forked tails.
Here is an L333 of about the same size and as you can see the tail is more moderately forked.

I'm back :d

The first picture of the topic can be misleading, we don't really see the right form of the back tail, and when we look closly on it, it isn't as much forked as we think.
I let you have a look:
