That reminds me... does anyone know if there's any good way to reliably tell a nigroviridis from a fluviatilis?

the guppies react to it as well.

I think many visually orientated fish will fall for it

at first I thought "cruelty to animals", but if you don't overdo it, it might very well turn out as exersize for fat, lazy fish

Thanks for sharing this video. Even "fat" fish need exercise.

That's brilliant! Always wanted to keep these fish. They look like great fun.
does anyone know if there's any good way to reliably tell a nigroviridis from a fluviatilis?
SF says: "Tetraodon nigroviridis is often confused with its similar looking relatives T. fluviatilis , and T. schoutedeni. It can be distinguished from these by its more rounded shape when compared to fluviatilis and lack of spines on its belly (present in schoutedeni)."

Not particularly helpful.

they are great fun, especially for the other tank inhabitants, but only if you have a very broad mind and your sense of humor has been surgically removed first

Can you elaborate as to why they're unsuitable?

P.S. Great video Jools!
