Can someone tell?

The lower is (most likely) a female. If you compare the head to body width, you see the male has a wider head than the body, the female has a narrower head than body.

Couldn't the lower one be a fat alpha male?

I would expect the head to be wider. But I'm not 100% sure...

I have seen her doing this with 2 other peoples fish!! On this forum as well, in the past 2 weeks.
I find it very disrespectful and rude. The photo's aren't yours so you should ask permission to put them on the internet.
You're not making any friend like this madam.

Huh?!

You mean these aren't even the OP's fish nor is it her picture?

Lol, that's rather pointless then.....

Let's not go on about it. All has been said.
And I hope she will get the message!!
This fishy world is too small to be going behind some ones back b-) As I said, she's not making a load of friends this way....

I can see if you need to confirm an id on a fish that is often confused or the seller has no idea on the species, but we know these are zebras. I think if you can afford to purchase these fish, you should have a good idea of sexing. Just my 2¢

What's all the fuzz about?
I would like to know the sex before I buy a fish, who wouldn't?
These reactions characterize why I'm not present on Dutch forums any more.

It's nothing wrong (assuming you have permission!!) with posting photos of other peoples fish. However, it should be made clear that it is not your own fish - for a variety of reasons:
1. It makes it clear why you are asking (in this case, "I'm planning to buy these, can you please sex them").
2. If someone else sees the picture of a fish for sale, they may either think you are the same person as the one selling the fish, or, worse, think that the seller is selling fish with your picture (it has been known that people advertise fish they don't actually have, with pictures of other people's fish).

The seller may also think it's rather rude to question their statement as to what the fish is (or the sex, etc). The way the post is presented can either make this worse or better...

The bottom one is a fat male. It's head is far too pointy to be a female.
