Hi gents

Please give a try to ID these Hypancistrus. They were sold as 236 long time ago. Unfortunately that's all information i have. If you need some more specific pictures, tell me...

Thanks!
Fred

What size are they?

I think it could be L236. It's not L333 or L66.
Could be any of the L400/L399 type, as they are a mess in ID... But looking at markings and coloration I don't think so, as L400 sp seems to turn grey at older age.
They don't look to be that big also.

Nice fish :-BD

They are about 10 - 12 cm (TL), and full-grown.
Special thing about them is that some (especially males) are nearly black (see first pic).
Another detail is that all the fry always have white as "backgroud-color". None of them has a yellow-touch, as often seen on L333's and other Hyps.
I also don't think on L400. I own 400's of two sources, and it seems to me that they have a very different body shape.
