Snails for supper?

I was sitting at my computer when I looked over at the nearest tank. There was my newly aquired L-014 Sunshine up on the front glass. Well, I had to take this opportunity to examine his (of that I'm now sure) underside. Nice full belly, good color, no sign of damage. Then, much to my surprise he came across a small snail (I've let them go in that tank for my clown loaches) and proceeded to suck it into his mouth. I watched him roll it around a couple of times then down the hatch it went. That is the first time I have seen a pleco eat a snail and I was wondering if anyone else has seen the same thing?

My Ancistrus eats snails. I have lots of what is called "Malayan sand snails" (don't know the proper english name), and my Ancistrus often suck them out of their shells.

Hi,
My Leporacanthicus also love snails.
Hi Graeme,
If you want to add snails to see if your plecos eat them, add only one in the tank because otherwise you risk ending with a tank full of snails. When you see that there is no snail anymore you can safely add another one.
