That's funny, I never thought of channel cats as being yellow.

But that would make it pink, not yellow. Maybe a xanthic form, although I have never seen one before (anyone seen a xanthic channel catfish?).

It's not a Channelcat, but a Bullhead of some variety.
The headshape and eyesize, as well as the "" overall look" point at Ameiurus, not Ictalurus.

I've seen yellowish Bullheads before.
I think (but I'm not sure) that it has to do with waterquality, food, lighting, as well as color strain. I've seen yellowish cats that got a much more grey/brown color later, when they were kept at different waterparameters and different food.

Oops, didn't look at the site carefully enough. It's a brown bullhead (Ameiurus nebulosus).
You sure you don't have a yellow bullhead (A. natalis) instead?

(It wasn't immediately clear to me whether the pics in the website were those of your fish. I am presuming that they aren't)

I've seen a number of larger albino Channels that are very yellow, and even the smaller ones are called Gold Channel Cats over here more often than not.

I would agree with Pete. They are the exact colour of corn fed chicken and not pink even when young.

My albinos are more white than pink I think. I plan on draining one of my ponds this weekend to get at a pleco in there, perhaps I will be able to get a better look then.
