First of all,
What kind of food needs the L-014
Does is demolish Echinodus plants
Are they active
Do they need to be held in a group
Second
What kind of food needs the L-123
How do they behave
And are they need to be in a group
cheers for any kind of help specially around this time of the year
all have a nice Xmas of course.

This should answer what fish eats what:

As to if some particular fish will eat plants or not is difficult to say categorically, but I'm a strong believer that algae-/aufwuchs-eaters don't eat plants unless they are starving.
Most plecos do well alone, but I think they should be kept in groups if possible - it is much more interesting seeing them interact when they are kept in a group, and you probably will have more chance of seeing them if you have multiples.

I agree with Mats, I've just spent 5 minutes watching 2 of my L-14's fighting over a favourite cave inside a piece of bogwood. It's amusing to watch them show their true size/colours and start then to vibrate as they size each other up, something that can't happen if you just have a solo plec. Thankfully this time the smaller one was cleaver enough to back down before the bigger one got p*ssed off and hurt him (I think they are both male
)
My 4 L-14's (approx 5-7" TL) are in a 400l community tank so they have to share food with a range of fish, but I mainly feed the tank a combination of the following
Sweet potato
Courgette/cucumber
Frozen king prawn tails and mussels
Novo tabs and Hikari algae wafers
General flake food
Frozen Bloodworm
Basically the L14s don't seem fussy and eat anything that floats past, including any left over flake food or bloodworm that the rainbows don't eat.
