So, which 36 do you need? I might be able to fill in the gaps for you.

Why am I doing this you ask?? I am not really sure.....

Having the original descriptions for all fish using the name Synodontis whether correct or mistakenly is my eventual goal here either in book form or PDF.
I appreciate any contributions to the cause, this is something I have been working away at for awhile now.

My count was off...there are 39 that I do not have yet, this is the quick version of the list.

As you will see the old ones I can usually find somehow, the newer ones I can get...but it is the 1920's to 80's that have been most difficult for me. I have been slowly picking up the odd paper here and there.

I would have to take some time to put the publications on here if needed, I have been pulling it off of Catalog of Fishes.

Batch 12 sent with this species:

Pellegrin-----koensis-----------1933

That leaves you with three more to go, I think.

This backs up my assertion that Steven Simpson is not the cheapest place for this kind of things. I just placed an order through alibris for a copy of Blache, and it costs only $16+shipping.

Birger - you are a very lucky boy!

HH - you're a dude.

I can't think of anywhere else you would see someone going out of their way to help a fellow enthusiast out like this.

Wow HH, I would have been happy to get a few, so to get this many at once is a jackpot.

I really appreciate it, thank you!!!

And now have some sorting to do.

From the list above it is down to:

Daget---------eburneensis-----------------------------1965
Pellegrin-----binotata,Synodontis notatus var.-1926
Pellegrin-----hollyi---------------------------------------1926
Pellegrin-----ntemensis,Synodontis hollyi--------1929
