Striped looking catfish?
I was in Walmart today looking for a Molly for the school's tank and after awhile and two trips to customer service, I returned with the Molly, a black snail and four catfish they said were the Lace cats, but they obviously are not as they had two in there and these four do not match. So I now have four very cool looking catfish, but I need help identifying them so I can make sure to meet their needs.

Re: Striped looking catfish?
My other guesses were S. nigrita and S. nigriventris (may be not easy to tell when they are so young) but I am sure Birger is right.
Besides, he is surely a Syno expert armed with books (IMO anyway) and I am a novice, who only goes by his experience and Cat-eLog.
The stripes will go away to give way to small spots.
