Pseudoloricaria laeviuscula?

These catfish were caught with a net on the shore of Lago Verde near Alter do Chao, Rio Tapajós. Could it be Pseudoloricaria laeviuscula?

It is certainly in the distribution range, and fishbase says they were found in Rio Tapajos drainage. Or at least, they were in 1940...

Hi,

Yes they are young Pseudoloricaria laeviuscula. The black blotch at base of the caudal fin is characteristic.

Rita,

Once you get these settled, I'd be keen to add some pics if that's OK? The current pictures we have of this species don't show the telltale caudal spot well.

Yes, it shows the same species as the photos above. I meant to ask if all agree that this is P. laeviuscula.
