Ng, HH & C Vidthayanon, 2011. Pseudeutropius indigens, a new species of schilbeid catfish (Teleostei: Siluriformes) from peninsular Thailand. Zootaxa 3037: 45–50.

Abstract

Pseudeutropius indigens, a new species of schilbeid catfish from peninsular Thailand, is described here. It can be distinguished from congeners in having the following combination of characters: head length 23.1–24.3% SL, head width 10.5–11.0% SL, length of anal-fin base 45.6–50.4% SL, 37–41 anal-fin rays, isognathous jaws in which the premaxillary teeth are not visible when the mouth is closed, and long nasal, maxillary and mandibular barbels that reach to at least the anal-fin origin.

This shot by the same photographer, taken at the same retailer, on the same date is listed under moolenburghae, should this be moved to the new species too?

I couldn't recall how I ended up with that identification (probably by counting the anal-fin rays). Was there an import location for this species? If this came from Bangkok, it is P. indigenous. Otherwise, it's P. moolenburghae.

Any chance of a copy of the paper?

I would suspect the two pictures are from the same shipment to BAS, but I'm not 100% sure. [I don't think the "Photo date" is entirely to be trusted, as there has been situations where it's been changed when the servers have been updated or some such].
