So I WAS killing Oto's but in my search for food I found Seaweed.
I have been using the sushi wrap you buy from asian stores to make your own sushi & it is a great success!!
My pleco jumps ecstatically as it hits the water & swims in any position to get it.
The Otocinclus wait until it is fully moist & gorge themselves.
The community fish in either tank get a great feed & even my Cory's get heaps of fallen scraps.
I have seen some fish really stuff themselves with it & yet it does not seem to cause constipation like other foods.
I think it must be salty & sweet(like pizza)from the way the tanks become alive with excitement when they taste it in the water. So I don't use it every night but it is a great way to ensure that everyone gets fed & the main thing - I've found a great substitute food for Otocinclus (something I was having trouble with).
So any haters??

You can get packs of Nori seaweed from the supermarket "exotic/foreign" food aisle (they are used for making Sushi), and a packet costs something like a pound or two (it's dried, so a small packet goes a long way). And I expect the salt attracts the fish, and as long as you don't fee A LOT of it, and do reasonaly regular water changes, it shouldn't be a problem.

I just had a look at one of my packets of this, and it doesn't mention sodium or salt, so I don't actually think the salt content is VERY high.

I have used it sparingly for yonks, and I used to also feed it to my W/C tropheus colony. It's pretty cheap here too.
