I have a sterbai species tank and in the last spawn this black fry was produced. You can see it's growth is much slower than it's siblings. The camera flash creates a mottled look to the body but looks quite black with the naked eye. Just wondering if any one has seen this happen before ?

I have a Brochis splendens black fry. He is well grown as much as others. There is one problem and it is only that he is black.

There are always small and big ones. It isnt related with that fry is black.

I've had fry like this from sterbai, panda and duplicareus. It happens sometimes. In sterbai I also found them to be quite weak, but panda and duplicareus was growing just as well as normal fry.

Thank you for the replies. Then I will put him in an oddball tank so he cannot breed back.
