My LFS have one thats about 3" for sale for £30, Is that a fair price to pay? Its a great looking fish but just not sure if its worth the price.

Doesn't sound too crazy to me. I've seen them for over £50 - but they were nice, large specimens. Make sure they have full bellies, as they can be hard to establish in an aquarium - so having ones that have been well settled in the shop helps!

Seems fair then. They only have 1 in a display tank but its been in there for a while apparently, i didnt get a great look at it but didnt notice it being overly skinny.

Of course, ideally you'd have a group of about 6 of them, so you can pick out a male and two females, or some such.

Yes, of course, they're fine on their own - I just prefer to see them in groups - that way, they are given the possibility to breed, for example!

Fair enough, ideally i would love a group but this is the only one ive ever seen. It shouldnt have any problems in with Laetacara curviceps, Megalechis thoracata and Bunocephalus coracoideus should it?

Those fish should be fine as far as I can see.
