Welcome to DC!

LFS by state (I don't believe there are any independent LFS in the district; there are Petcos, which do sell Royals occasionally).

In Maryland:
I've gotten some of my fancy plecos from Congressional Aquarium, in Rockville (it's where I got my 3-beacon dragonfin L91): http://www.congressionalaquarium.com/

Up the road, is Aquarium One: www.aquarium-one.com/
When I was there in 2009, they had a 10+ Goldie and a 12+ blue-eyed panaque for sale (I later learned that the Goldie was sold). However, this place focuses more on marine than freshwater.

Further up the road is Tropical Fish World in Gaithersburg: www.tropicalfishworld.com/
I've seen them sell blue panaques, green phantoms and some other fancy plecos; I've gotten other fish from this store.

Further east by Silver Spring is Tropical Lagoon: www.tropicallagoon.com/. The last time I was there, I don't recall seeing any fancy plecos.

NOVA:
Vienna Aquarium and Pets, http://www.viennaaquarium.com/
I've only been there once or twice. The only fancy pleco I remember seeing is a rhino

Centerville Aquarium:
http://www.fishstorereview.com/reviews/ ... index.html
If I'm remembering my LFS correctly, this one had a few fancy plecos, but ones like orange seam pleco.

Superpets: www.annandalesuperpets.com/
The one time I was there, they were sold out of L14s. I think they also had royals.

Also, one more thing you may want to check out: the Potomac Valley Aquarium Society, pvas.com (full disclosure, I'm a member). Our next meeting is June 4. Occassionaly folks will bring fancy plecos for the mini-auction. I've seen L260s, L264s, Adonis, L201 and rhino plecos for sale. I just mail-ordered a bunch of L333s that I'm splitting with another PVAS member. Also, every other year, PVAS sponsors the "Catfish Convention" where folks bring in fancy plecos for sale (like L46).

This Memorial Day weekend, Tropical Fish World is having a sale: 40% off Saturday and Sunday, 60% Monday for freshwater, marine fish and plants.

There is a coupon for 25% off for Memorial Day weekend at Congressional Aquarium.
