I saw some beutiful exemplars of Corydoras elegans for some days ago, and I will probably buy them later. Now to the question; Is the Corydoras elegans a rare Corydoras, or is it common?

Ther're quite common, at least here in Norway (Oslo). I have some of them, and they're very nice, and easy to breed.

Hi!
Yes Corydoras elegans is rather common now around Europe at least.
Most speciemens found now in shop are commercially bred.
Still it is a very nice Cory.
Be careful sometimes as the Corydoras elegans group have several species that are very similar to each other and you will often find some of the others under that name...

Hi!
5-6 but nothing less.
A good sex ratio is 2 males for 1 female!
