Panaque sp. L206 spawning

Nothing special, another cave spawning pleco
The tank size 50 L (60X30X30).
Filtration - pomp 1200 l/h with a sponge.
Water parameters: conductivity - 230 microsimens, T - 27C.
The tank with sand, no plants and some different clay, wood and bone caves.
Panaque sp. L206 spawned in one of clay caves.
The most interesting that the tank size isn't big and while spawning there were 10 fish (4 different panaque species: P.sp.L206, P.changae, P.dentex, P.sp.L204). I didn't keep all these panaque species together in a such a small tank. Originally there was only a pair of Panaque dentex in this tank. I was doing some changes in my other tanks. Firs I moved 2 males and a female Panaque sp. L206 to this tank. After several weeks I moved almost all my Panaque to this tank. It was a temporarily decision. While moving P.sp.L204 and P.changae out of this tank, I noticed a P.sp.L206 male with a clutch of eggs in the cave. I decided to get out the eggs because I had troubled the fish a lot.
Male:
Female:
A pair of Panaque changae and Panaque sp. L206. This photo was taken I got out the eggs.
Eggs:
0 day out of cave
1 day out of cave
2 days out of cave
3 days out of cave
4 days out of cave
5 days out of cave (in the morning)
5 days out of cave (in the evening)
I removed these two white eggs and the fry had fatched.
I added two snails to the fry net.
fry:
0 days old, 5 days out of cave (in the evening)
1 days old, 6 days out of cave (in the morning)
1 days old, 6 days out of cave (in the evening)
2 days old, 7 days out of cave
3 days old, 8 days out of cave
4 days old, 9 days out of cave
5 days old, 10 days out of cave
6 days old, 11 days out of cave (Todays photos 2011.04.19)
7 days old, 12 days out of cave (2011.04.20)
I added a small piece of wood

Absolutely great!!
Would you mind explaining me how the egg net works please? I have seen this on an other tread and I want to learn how it works for my own use in the future. In detail please if you will
Cheers!

Nothing special, an old simple landing net is put at the top of the tank such way that only a part of the net with fry is in the water.
The net is situated near the pomp near the main water current (not in the, but near).
It is hard to show on the photo, so I took a photo with out flash and the quality is bad, but it is possible to see the idea.
The same photo, but with the flash.
The photo of the fry net with working pomp
The photo of the fry net with not working (turned off) pomp
PS: sorry for the dirty background glass:(
PPS: udated first post with todays photos

Thanks AleGer! Great pictures and seeing this it is quite simple indeed.
One more question. Do you leave the lights on or off during this period?

I have no light at all in this tank. In the other tanks I leave the lights on, but the light is quite weak in the other tanks.

What a fantastic photo progression of their development! Thank you very much for sharing it with us. It's a great accomplishment, whether it's just another cave spawning pleco or not ;). Those pictures alone will make it much easier to help people guesstimate how far along escaped pleco fry might be!

Today I've noticed that the fry become more yellowish, and part of them are eating.
10 days old, 15 days out of cave (2011.04.23)
(In the afternoon)
(In the evening)
I moved 23 fry to fry tank, and left 5 in the fry net. 4 fry I gave out. So there are 32 fry from this spawn.
Photos while moving:
The fry that were left in the fry net. But they are hiding.
Barbie, OlePaulsen, Shaun, Thanks:)
PS: I'm thinking about moving all the fry photos to the first post. So all the photos will be together, won't be needed to search the whole topic for the photos. Or Is it better to post all new photos in a new phosts? What do you think?

I suggest you write a breeding article, and your photos go into that!

Good idea
But the problem is that it is just another cave spawning pleco, nothing special about their breeding. All the most interesting I've already written in this topic.

Or perhaps a great test for the breeding log (blog) feature?

Maybe a COTM article would be in order, I really liked the June 2007 one by Irene.
I like the net idea, most of the waste would fall to the main tank reducing the issues of infections while they are young.
