I own one adult male and would like to build a group. Juveniles OK. Shipping available to NJ. Would need a pic to verify petricola ID on PlanetCatfish.

Check out Aquabid, there are several lists for them!

A lot of fish advertised on aquabid are actually Lucipinnis - there are some real petricola but it's good to ascertain whether photos are of actual fish for sale

I have checked out the Aquabid posts for the last couple of weeks. One seller that had a petricola pic admitted that it was not a pic of his fish...that his were even better looking with spots further apart, etc.
He changed the pic and now they look like lucipinnis to me.
The other sellers pics already look like lucipinnis to me.
I've also checked with some online vendors listing them. Lucipinnis so far.
One vendor that lists here on occasion refused to provide a pic, and fairly rudely at that, LOL.
The search continues.

I had a look at both "Dave's Rare Aquarium fish" and "Rehoboth Aquatics", as these are usually good with Synos. However, Rehoboth seems to have no rift-lake Synos at all - lots of interesting riverine species. Dave's have S. lucipinnis listed with "Dwarf petricola".
So I think it's a case of "patience" and "keep" looking. You may want contact both of the above for a "can you get" request...

Thanks! I did what you suggest with Dave already...have lots of his fish in my tanks. I'll try Rehoboth.
