Hey everyone, Just thought id come introduce myself......
I joined last night as i needed help with some wart like lumps on one of my L046, and have decided it would be a good idea to try and stick around....
I'm Andy from Sheffield, UK. I'm 28 (29 in a few weeks) have been keeping tropical fish for about 15 years, started with one community tank in my early teens, then started breeding angel fish and a few tetra's and i'm sure everyone has had the same problem when you catch the fish bug and your tanks just tend to multiply!!!
Anyway my first passion was south america, but especially L-numbers. i spent a good few years keeping them alive and enjoying them, then i grew up, moved out and had a break from fish for a few years.
I got tanks again about 10 years ago and started back with a colony of 23 L046 that i imported from germany. I bred these with varying success for about 3/4 years before loosing the entire group to a power cut while i was away
After that i switched my interest to Lake Tanganyika and currently have a 150gal tang display and a couple of tang breeding projects, but i still love all thing Lnumber and have my current group of 8 L046 (only 1 female tho ) and im trying to squeeze in another tank for some Blue Phantom plecos.
I've used the site alot in the past for research etc but only discovered the forum bit last night when searching for help..... hopefully i can stick around and pick your brains and hopefully contribute a little too.
Oh and im also a member of the Sheaf valley Aquarist Society (SVAS) anyone local to the yorkshire area (UK) should check out
So thats me....... Hello
