Regarding the polli, my fish does have the dull white leading edge to the dorsal described for polli though you can't see it in the pic. And it does have a very wide head. Seems to fit. I looked through all the pics on polli including cf1 and cf2. In person my fish looks most like this. http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/im ... ge_id=2296
If the price was fair for petricola, would you pay more, less or the same for polli? Trying to decide what to do with him.
You can probably complain to the shop, but I expect the answer will be "Well, that's what it came in as, and we paid X for it, so we have to sell it at Y. Or something to that extent.
There are no set prices for fish, so the same species can vary by at least 50% between one shop and another, depending on the distribution chain, quality of the fish, when the fish was bought, and another half a dozen factors.
This particular S.polli is also at 5 inches already bigger than what I consider as my regular polli...so to find some the same may not happen, hard to say.
It is hard for me to put a value on it for you, nice to have something different, but it may end up as a single fish for you.

I can see what your saying...what is interesting going with that theory is the light colored first ray of the dorsal.
