I have my doubts the second fish is a L260, what do you think ?

One is a L411 but the other one looks a little bit different, it could also be the picture.

L262? hard to judge from a top picture but I can see what you mean.

The one is L-411. the other one maybe is L-260 i had one L-260 with broken lines the same and i had L-262 too and they look much diferent than this one .The dots are very close in the L-262

The first one can be a crossbred, they look like youngsters and I suppose they are bred locally, second is L411.

They don't look like L260 to me either. I have about 30 real L260 to compare these to and they aren't even close to what mine look like. Even when they are frightened mine have a strong contrast between the white and black. Mine are not as slender either.
I have some wild some F1 which are producing my first F2 gen. The wild fish and oldest F1's both breed once in awhile. I have large adults down to 3/4 inch juveniles.
I see two different types in your photos but I am not willing to guess what they are only that none are L260. All Hypancistrus are well worth breeding, especially those native to only Brazil so good luck.

first one is L262 which is coming in those days i do believe , i'm seeing them nowdays on stocklists.

and the 2nd one is the not 260 tho

this fish is not L-262 it has too many broken lines it looks more like L-136,

or hybrid.last year i bought five L-260 four males and one female all look the same but one looks like this one. was one cm smaller from the other two males and long body.

the L-262 has high body like the L-260.

I had L-262 and its not looking like this one.

Its is not an L262, I agree that it looks more like a L136 but because the picture was taken in such an angle it is hard to see the body shape for sure.

None of the fish above are either L260 or L262. Hope you guys don't mind some pictures of previous shipments.

I dont know if in English is a valid name for L262 guinea fowl catfish like the German language. I think that the fish L 262 in the pictures from Unungy are L 136a. My L 136b have the same light beige stress color as L 262 from Unungy. I think the L262 have a black background and gray stress color without brown / beige color.

It could be that taking them out of the water makes their stress color a little more brighter then in the water but three things are unmistakable about L262 and those are:

- The black color of their eyes from the distance
- The smaller "super tiny white dots"
- The size of them of 3"
