Hi all!

I purchased this Synodontis from my favorite cichlid-store. Seller couldn't remember where this fish came. It was probably sold as a njassae but really isn't it of course!


It's been in the shop at least three years. Some think it's breed S. robbianus from the east, some think it's some kind of hybrid. TL is 11 cm. What do you think?

I thought that also, but the size doesn't fit. Nigrita would probabaly be way over 15 cm at that age, doesn't it? I'm leaning now towards the fact that it would be the S. robbianus breed from the east that were sold as njassae. I've told that even Seegers mentions these fishes.

I'm having conversation with me. I'm quite positive to bet that it is Synodontis robbiana. Another short video be my guest!
