Thought it would be better with a new thread only regarding the fry.

We counted 23 youngsters, some pictures below.

Will do, full size are quite big though, about 5mb, which format do you prefer for the site?

Variety of foods, Tropical's Super Tabin B, Shrimpmix, Cyclops etc.
The parents eat a bit veggie stuff too like, zucchini, cucumber, algae wafers. The fry have no interest in veggies yet.

It gets very messy at the bottom of the breeding container so I vacuum every day to clear out. I also have some white pearl shrimp as clean up crew for them.

5Mb no problem if it's no problem for you to send full size, fish facing right, images captioned preferably please. Also, in the email, I need your full name please for the photo credit.

Many thanks,

Jools

We have had 3 spawns so far. The 2nd one went straight to the male's stomach [-(
The 3rd we counted to 12 eggs, one fry died within a week, so eleven left.

Anyway, I believe we lost one fry that had some trouble with the yolksac in the 1st spawn.
We have one or two in the 3rd spawn as well that differs from the rest of the fry.

Any ideas what causes this and how it can be avoided?
