Catfish in need of good homes

Looking to find good homes for my catfish. I am in the military and I am do to move in a couple of months. I'll be moving cross-country so sadly I can not bring my fish.

I am currently stationed in Eastern NC and would be willing to give my fish to someone who could offer them good homes. I cant ship as I dont have the know-how. I know its a long shot, but is there anyone on here that may be close that could offer good homes for the following:

Synodontis Cats - 2 large Featherfins

Cory Cats - 8 (give or take) Emerald Green, 2 Albino, 1 Peppered

L#'s - 2 L-264's, 2 L-104's, 1 L-007.

I'm really at a loss. I've tried putting up ads locally, but only get idiots replying. I'm sorry but I'm not giving my fish away to unexperienced nimwits. I'm waiting to hear back from a couple of people that may be interested in some, but figured I'd throw something up here.

Let me know if you are interested. Thx in advance. My last resort will be to donate them to a local fish store, but then I still will have no idea who will be getting them, so it really is my last resort.

bless you.

Hi AWUGOD, I would be interested in the plecos if you might consider seperating them from the corys and featherfins. My profile here on planetcatfish still has me located in Mass. but in reality I live near Charlottesville, Va, I moved last Nov. I've just posted pictures of my tanks and some of my fish here so you can check out where they would be going. If you are interested send me an email at hankinswood@aol.com with your phone number and we can work out details. Good luck. Jim Hankins

Then perhaps you should go update your location in the User Control Panel, under "Profile" (there are two fields called Location - the one at the bottom is the one you should use).

You might try contacting Raleigh Aquarium Society: http://raleighaquariumsociety.com/

Or if you are closer to Northern Virginia Potomac Valley Aquarium Society is having an auction April 2nd. Details on http://pvas.com.

snap! would have loved those L264s in my tank.

Good luck and yes I agree with nimwits out there I've been trying to reduce the species in my tanks for a very long time. I'm not even asking for an arm and leg just what I paid for my fish.

Good luck

If you work something out, you could drop the cories off with me near Richmond.

I would be very glad to work with this idea from sdm of dropping of the corys in Richmond. I would need to drive right through there and since I once lived in Richmond for 15 years I know the town well. Now if we can find somebody else along Rt 64 to adopt the featherfins we can rehome the whole bunch.

Thanks for the responses everyone! I have found a home for the Featherfins!!! The guy who picked up all my African cichlids took them :d

Still trying to find suitable homes locally as I really dont have the time to drive even a few hours to drop them off (still have loads to do around the house to get it ready to go up for sale).

I'll keep you posted.

I want to wish you the best of luck finding a home for the fish locally but also want to try to make it clear that I always assumed if you were to choose to re-home any of them with me that I would drive to you to pick them up, and would very happily drop off the cories in Richmond with sdm, if you wanted me too.

Quick update to this....Jim (hankinswood) picked all the plecos and cories up this weekend :d

Thanks again for driving out here to pick them up, for me I was a little sad to let them go but happy to see them go to someone who will care for them and enjoy them as much as I have.

Thanks again Jim!
