Akysis eating snails?

I noticed a few weeks back all 6 of my Akysis where looking quite a bit on the chubby side so i cut down from a cube of frozen food every other day to half every other day for 2 weeks but they still looked huge and since it was all 6 of them i dont think its eggs and all seem perfectly healthy so i cut the food even more and then again even more, i havent fed them in over a week and they still look a bit on the chubby side. The only other thing thats in the tank are a big group of pond snails and malaysian trumpet snail so it got me thinking do you think they could be eating the snails or eggs or is it just over feeding and its going to take a while for them to slim down?
