L052 Questions (Butterfly Pleco)
Are Butterfly Plecos shy fish? I haven't seen mine since I placed it in the tank. I have the urge to go in there and look for it. Also, what do they like to eat? Thanks

Re: L052 Questions (Butterfly Pleco)
They are not exactly the most forthcoming of fish, from my experience. In nature, they search for larvae and other small creatures at the bottom of the rivers, but in captivity algae wafers and granule food.

I found mine enjoyed Prawn and Shrimp stuffed on a fork

Mine are out and about all the time, but there are 30 of them in the tank so it might just appear that way. I feed them NLS grow and earthworm sticks.

Re: L052 Questions (Butterfly Pleco)
I recently moved mine to live with my pseudas and also found last night for the first time that they love prawns, almost as much as the pseudas and hypans do.
I have also found them to be very shy especially at spawning time.

Motorcycles are not an expensive hobby, try keeping L-cats in Australia

I was just taking some pics a half hour ago and noticed they have almost stripped the bark off the crab apple tree wood I placed in their tank a couple weeks ago.
