just lazy, no picture, just description

I saw a pl*co the other day and I haven't done a search on the website yet, but will do so soon. I wanted to know if you guys can point me in the right direction

It was black with light blue spots. The spots were small and many near the head and became larger and less frequent as I looked towards the tail. I can't recall the exact amount of rays in the dorsal, but I believe it was over 8. The tail was also fairly large and similar to the L240 that is pictured in another recent thread. The head was "soft" and looker almost rubbery, it was smooth, with the eyes closer together than the other fish I have and located more towards the top of the head. The overall length, I would guess, was 10-11cm. Not the best description - and I know a picture is worth a 1000 words. Any suggestions of where I should start looking?

Thanks for the assistance,

Jesse

Something like ? Or a stunning ?

Unfortunately, this is far from the only possible choices.

definitely not L030 - this fish had a longer head, and many smaller spots towards the front half.

I do think you may have nailed it with the L128 though. Any others look similar to L128? He looks like he would be one of the nicer ones pictured. The spots are definitely blue; it seems like they vary quite a bit in this species. Any idea what a fish like this would cost in your (anyone with experience) particular part of the world?
Thank you,
Jesse

Depending on size and shop pricing, I've seen them for anything from about £28 (approx $40) to £70 (approx $100). That is, of course, assuming the ID is correct.

Any personal experience with them Mats?
Any other information about L128 not on the Cat-eLog that would be good for a potential owner to know?

I have kept a group of them, yes. In my experience, they aren't hard to keep, nice fish.
