wow so envious the only fish worth buying near me are

l-83
chaetosoma (of mixed species)
and platydoras costatus
corydoras julii (a recent addition)

I was lucky enough to find a dying neglected A. pectinifrons.

one of his pectoral spines was broken in half but hes fine now.

if there was a store like that near me I would just go and sit in there every day :d

So, this shop is where I've bought most of my recent purchases - it is about 230 miles of driving from where I live. So whilst there are some people who live close-by, it's not your average shop... We do have a chain, Maidenhead Aquatics, that is pretty good, and most people don't live very far from those shops. But you may have to travel a decent distance even to get to one of those. I'm sure there are some good shops in New Jersey too... Keep looking (and I do understand the difficulty if you are not driving yourself!)

yeah not driving is hard there are like 3 petsmarts and 2 petcos around me so I think they would kill any small shops. there one other shop 20 minutes drive but its fish are always sick.

in the summer I bike 12 miles round trip to get to the fish store :d.

Yes, my point was rather that this is not your average shop. Sure, they sell guppies, platys, small tanks, goldfish and such things. But their a big part of business is customers that travel lots of miles to get there.

I'll second that! there's always something new to consider when visiting Pier, and it's not often I leave completely empty-handed!

Cheers matt
