Steve, any approximate idea of time (of year)?
Also is there a link to a set of show rules that would apply? I've always thought about showing a couple of fish but don't think i've got suitable tanks etc

Hi Richard
We havent set one yet as we need to look at the calendar of other events/shows.
It will have its own rules and they wont be as strict as normal shows so you should be fine. Once we have decided if we are doing one and when I will post some more info.

Hmm, those links don't work. I expect you copied this from a post elsewhere - if so, you need to edit (or "reply to") the original post and copy that, not the text in the post as you read it - because links are "mangled" with "..." if they aren't very short.

Not sure yet but strigata are not 'cheap'. They are a rare fish and have only been exported once in any numbers. Their reserve will probably be about £20. They are beautiful and are about 4-5cm. Probably be only around 4 or 5 for sale at the most
Pseudolaguvia, hard to say yet but may be around £2.50 to £3?, they are about 3cm. There will be a few more of these hopefully.

Thank Steve, and no, didn't expect them to be. Problem is would want them all but don't think I can afford £100 on fish at the moment
. I suspect the dunni are not cheap either, but maybe more affordable than the strigata. Im definitely interested in the pseudolaguvia, and would really like some of the tatia too...decisions, decisions!

The strigata would cost approx. £26-£30 minimum in the shops (good luck finding them though!). dunni are about £20 too, again, in the shops they cost minimum £22.50 (if you can find them).
You need to come to the event! ;o)

I do, but I then know it's going to cost me a fortune as won't be able to walk away without a few of both/either tatias!The.Dark.One wrote:You need to come to the event! ;o)

Re: Castleford Aquarist Society Catfish and Loach show 2011
I've got an odd Leporacanthicus heterodon which I'll bring for sale tomorrow. Unless anyone has some and they want me to keep this back for them. Prob ask £25.
Also a Chaca.
Cheers,
Mark.

To confirm the following went through the auction - at least what I can remember:
Corydoras concolor, C. undulatus, C. paleatus, C. aeneus, C. ortegai, C. julii (true), C. trilineatus, C. acrensis, C. rabauti, C. panda, C. sp. Green lazer, Aspidoras C125, Scleromystax sp. C112, S. barbatus, Imparfinis minuta, Panaqolus maccus, Leporacanthicus heterodon, Hypancistrus sp. L066, H. sp. L201, LDA10, LDA16, Ancistrus cirrhosus, L056, Centromochlus perugiae, Tatia dunni, Tatia strigata, Tatia sp D, Tatia intermedia, Auchenipterichthys coracoids, Pseudolaguvia, Heteropneustes fossilis
Show was a great success with 137 entries, more than some Open shows these days! Fantastic exhibits - thanks from CAS to all the sponsors, show people, judges, auction entrants, punters and everyone who helped make it a great day.
Cheers,
Mark.

You're welcome Jamie. Thanks for supporting us. I too enjoyed it. Nice relaxed atmosphere and some cracking catfish and loach on the bench, and the auction.JamieH wrote:Thanks to all at CAS for a great really enjoyable day.
