Hi,

I was thinking of buying wild bushynose and breed them or the tank raised longfin albino and i was wondering if the wilds will be harder to breed or the same as the albino's.

Wild-caught fish tend to be a bit harder to breed in general. They are often harder to get to the first spawn, and sometimes the fry are more sensitive.

This isn't ALWAYS the case, but most of the time. This is caused by a combination of things:
1. Most of the captive bred fish are those species that are easy to spawn in captivity. Wild-caught fish are those that aren't easy to breed in captivity.

2. Once a species has spawned in captivity, natural selection "picks" the individuals that naturally thrive most in the captive environment, and those would be more predisposed to breed again in a captive environment. So the second generation in captivity would be slightly easier to breed. Third generation easier again, etc.

Mats'rule 2 also applies to the wild fish. Who will breed in a group of say 8 wild caught fishes? Those who have adapted the best
