How urgently do you want to get rid of them? I'd be interested in the Liosomadoras for example. Might take some corys if you have trouble getting rid of them.

I'm getting two new tanks in about two weeks. But of course, tanks will not be ready for new fish immediately - I think I could house them temporarily elsewhere, tho'.

As I said I have no idea how many ottos there are all I know is I havn't bought an otto in many many years, but small ones appear to replace the old ones that peg it.

About 6-8 inches at a guess

At that size, I can probably house it at least temporarily. It's a lovely fish, but given the limited space, I think Jools may have more space for it...

We could offer some of your fish a home, one where they'd be on public display so that others can enjoy them.
However, having read why you are offering them out, take a little while to reconsider.
You've got some very nice fish there, obviously well-cared for. Take a walk in the sunshine, maybe think about downsizing a little bit if necessary, but don't beat yourself up. I don't know anyone who hasn't lost fish through a mishap.

I'd agree with that wholeheartedly. Sometimes, you've got to go back to keeping fun fish. Many cats aren't, much as we love them.

That's well spoken. I fully agree. If you still feel the same after some time, then you should indeed end it. Until that time, reconsider. I've been there too recently, first with Tetranematichthys and one month ago with a complete tank filled with small centromochlins.
Although tempting at that time, I just couldn't imagine myself without a tank.
Most important thing Grokefish friend: make a decision that you can live with.

Don't give up! Howsabout one big tank -
the panaque, the 3 liosomadoras, the spotted doras, the spotted dollars. Room for a few extras. Loads of bogwood and maybe silk plants.

Funnily enough that is what is going down at the mo, but with real plants (I have a species of amazon sword that no fish consume, not even Uaru, dont know what it is but it must taste awfull ,lol) and all the other fishes in it too.

It's more a case of logistics than anything else. I am finding I have less and less time to do things like sort my fish out, or am finding it hard to bother if you get me, because of other commitments.

This recession is really hitting my engineering business bad which ironically is giving me LESS time to concern myself with my fish, weird eh.

At the end of the day I have humans wellbeing to worry more about than fishes so for now I must eliminate all non essentials time consuming activities.

I just don't wanna drop the ball again and find a tank full of dead fishes next time, you see.

If it comes down to it I will keep just the panaque, cos she aint really that much bother anyway and is hard as nails, survived a few tank plagues.

On a lighter note both the zippy fish and the Satanoperca have decided to start breeding again, out of protest I assume because they know I wont move them if they have eggs! Don't hold out much luck for them with that megladoras in there, it'll be vacuuming tonight, lol.

I can provide a long term home in a 5ft tank. I love royals the bigger the better! I have 2 other royals in there but they are only 5" so your royal would be the boss
I live in the midlands but I would be prepared to collect. If you feel you would still like to rehome your royal, post a reply and I will private message you

I'm in the process of setting up a couple of new tanks so when cycled & running i'll see if anything suitable hasn't been offered a new home & let you know
