Exactly what's needed. More common plecs in the trade.

I wonder if it even occurs to these morons that what they are doing is wrong. :evil:

Take them from one river, and dump them in the next when they out grow their tank.

The fish farms are perpetuating them as being "common" in the industry, but mainly because the public doesn't bother to educate themselves. The farms pay for the individual egg masses and they don't need to maintain breeding colonies themselves. In essence they are practicing conservation in at least removing the 1000 fry per spawning from the water way they were laid in.

If only the general public would request a cute little Ancistrus instead ;).

I was just reading an article today that in florida (along the eastern coast) common ancistrus are breeding rapidly in the wild.
What's your favorite Dressing~~

I always tell everyone top get the ancistrus and return the commons. poor things shouldn't be sold as freely as they are.
