These fishes came from Glaser, wich may be the most accurate and serious dealers in the trade.
But anyway, these fishes seems to differ in several ways from what both my eksperience as an employee in a fish-store, and most material I can get hold of.
First, there is the "blue" eyes wich are somewhat protruding out from the scull.
Second, the body seems more slender, and the typical "round-mouth" that are typical for L213 are not so prounanced.
Third, the patern of spots are not that dense, and the spots itself bigger and brighter.

Apparently not. Perhaps because it's only 9 hours since your last post, and some people don't visit as regularly as others.
Identifying ANY Ancistrus is a nightmare, and I think NOT getting a ton of "bad" ID's is a good sign here.
Hopefully someone will come along and see your post and give some cosnidered advice. I personally have no idea.

Hi,
it might be an Ancistrus sp. "L 370". That species is quite close to L 213 (if not even identical) and should have fewer spots.
That said, I would not downright question the L 213 ID. Some variation in spot count and brightness is quite usual.
Judging from the shape of the caudal fin, it is not L 107, however.
Cheers, Sandor

I would say they are L213 if they have a bluish tint in their eyes, the variation in density of spots is large in this species and is not a good sign to use for id. However, I cannot say for sure they are 1 species or 1 locality of this species shipped as L213, fishermen can catch at many locations and similar looking species is for them the same species and exporters cannot be sure all they receive are from one and the same locality.
What I can say for sure is that the above species is from Tapajos.
