suggested tank mates for an L177

Post by Fred »

I'm new to the forum but you guys seem to know what you are talking about.
I did some research on the Golden nugget pleco L-177 and decided to get one. They don't come up very often in my part of the world (New Zealand)
It wasn't cheap but my problem is now I've got the bug :)
I'm thinking of adding some more plecs in the tank but am stumped on what would go with my L 177.
Maybe someone with one of these cool plecs can guide me in the right direction as to what might go well with him/her[/img]
"optimism" a disease yielding to no treatment but death. It is hereditary but fortunately not contagious.

I would be cautious if you intend to add any more gold nuggets. They are territorial with each other, espeically if they are added at different times. If you do add a new one, swtich around the caves and wood so they will have to redetermine a heirarchy without giving either an advantage.

lots of plecos... I've got most of the common pleco genera encountered in with my 177 and haven't seen a problem, pecokltia, panaqolus, panaque, hypancistrus, psuedacanthicus now too...
