So I'm at my second spawning and I've successfully hatched them again, roughly 1000+/- and they all look good. First batch crashed in a 10 gallon tank. I was told to use a bio sponge filter with air. I was told this was the best method to regulate the ammonia levels. I cleaned out dead eggs and egg shells and did a 50% change of the water twice a day typically 2 hours after feeding baby brine shrimp. But even with this, most, with the exception of 5 died.

Any thoughts/recommendation?

I would think a 10 gal is fairly small for 1000 fry...try splitting them up between tanks or if you do not have more tanks only raising a smaller percentage of the fry...10 % of the fry surviving is better than the whole batch crashing. 10 % is still 100 hungry fast growing fish.
