I have a Panaque Nigrolineatus (4") that I have had for 6 months.
I have also setup a South/Central American Cichlid tank with 2 Firemouth, 1 Convict and (I think) a Jewel. All young and getting on OK.
Could I add the Panaque to the Cichlid tank?
Tank is 200ltr, external filter, 26C, small gravel substrate, Bogwood, large rocks, Amazon Sword plants.
Any views would be appreciated.

Funny!
you name in the title of your post South American cichilds and NONE of yours are from South America at all.....
Jewels are African, the rest is CENTRAL American. They don't encounter Pleco's in the wild.
It could work, but take care, the Jewel (and even more, the Convict!) might pick on your Panaque. Watch for it.
Thorichthys are very safe with medium big Pleco's.
btw in time, the Panaque will outgrow the 200L tank!

Plan B should not automatically be twice as much explosives as Plan A
