I know everybody's feelings about hybrids, but this one's already out there and it sounds like it's a great and well-loved pet. If I had room for a tank that could hold it, I'd already own it and be telling you all about my wonderful new fish, but, alas, I don't even have room to set up my 55 gallon tank right now.
I am hoping that someone here has the space to give this fish a home. Obviously, being in the Pacific Northewest would make it easier.
