Hello people, I just joined the forum after a long time of browsing as a guest and reading through several of the fora. I apologize in advance for the long post
My name is Mahomed Desai and from my location you can see I am from South Africa. I am a marine biologist ( wish I had done freshwater ecology though ). I have kept aquariums for many years before but then went through a reptile phase. I then found out that it is not permitted to keep snakes in Islam so I am back to fishkeeping (which I actually prefer).
At the moment I only have two 1 metre tanks. The tanks contain the following:-
Tank 1:
2 X Mystus tengara
3 X Tatia intermedia
6 X Hypseleotris cyprinoides
2 X Melanotaenia praecox
Contains pile of driftwood and planted with vallis, Anubias nana and Cryptocoryne wendtii
Tank 2:
1 X Pseudomystus siamensis
2 X Ancistrus cirrhosus
6 X Bedotia geayi
Contains 1 large piece of driftwood and planted with java fern, java moss and Cryptocoryne wendtii
I hope to increase my collection of tanks. I am a bit embarassed to show pics of my tanks as my photography is s?#t and you all have such amazing tanks
