I've Had these fishes about six months now. My friend Jippo brought these for me from Glaser as Opsodoras stuebelii, which they weren't as you can see. Few months ago i started to think these may be two different species? I have five of these (Doras punctatus?) and two of them has a lighter coloration and pattern. The humeral process is traight.

Three of them are darker, they have more spots and humeral process is a bit curved.

I'm pretty sure they are fairly variable in colour - they have a huge distribution (throughout the Amazon, Orinoco and Guyana shield).

Judging from the overall morphology of the fish (head shape, neurocranium), I think you have two different species.
