Interesting pattern on the last picture. I can only assume the fish was bitten by something, and the pattern didn't grow back normally.
I'm sure the barbels will grow back.

Still a nice looking fish.
There must have been a batch exported round the world, as there are a few posts where they're a new fish for someone.
The barbels should grow back.
Two of my LFS's have stocked them recently. One, (where I didn't get mine) had three fish with two eyes between them. Makes missing barbels seem a minor problem.
At least the completely eyeless individual didn't want to hide while the lights were on. After three weeks, mine still only come out when the lights are on.

I meant lights off, not on.

If they suspect food might be on offer, mine are VERY active. But then I've got 5 of them, which may help.

Today I bought another male and 3 females of these fishes. I have 3 couples now, one of the females has a lighter coloration. Even in stresscoloration she stays obviously lighter. Maybe a hypomelanistic individual.
