the net is 15cm across, and this fish is 4 &1/2 yrs old, and is the largest left of the initial group of 8 I bought then.
I have 5 left that range in the 10-12cm range
I lost a 13cm fish 18 mths ago out of the blue. It showed a lot more odontodal growth at smaller and younger age.
Therw are 13cm-15cm L128 currently on sale here. They're called 'show size' and same price as 3cm fish so figuring they are surplus males and certainly look that way. I'm sure in experienced hands these fish are 'IDable'(sic)

If This is a female it would really start me thinking about getting one of the bigger males. They live in 600ltr tank.

I'm not 100% sure, but it's POSSIBLE that this is a female.

Hmmm!

Well ventral view of mine matches that of the Female ventral view on profile.

This is Male dorsal off PC profile

Female dorsal off PC profile

And dorsal view of mine, so I am leaning toward female, even more when I now look at it live in tank and compared to the next biggest fish

Opinions?

Well, that was my conclusion too. But these are not the easiest fish to sex until they CLEARLY show male form, and your fish isn't exactly enormous. I'd be more certain if your fish was a bit larger. The good news is that it's often easier to find a "known male" than a "known female" (although perhaps I should say "Less difficult" rather than "easy" - as finding large, sexable of these fish in NZ may not be at all "easy", no matter what you are looking for).
