Bronze Cory and Abino Bronze Cory

Hi guys, I am new to this forum even though i have been collecting cories for a long time. My favorite is the Lazer Gold Cories.
I have many bronze cories and i mixed them with the abino Bronze Cories. But i never saw them breed. In fact, they rarely interact. All my cories fries have been the Bronze.
The question is, what happens if they breed together? Or in fact, they already breed but the fries just revert to bronze, their natural color since abino is a loss of pigment. Mating with a partner that have this pigment, restores their original pigment to the next generation.
But i am not sure. Any experts have any information? Thanks:)

If we assume that your albino corys are indeed bronze corys (there are a few other corys that are known to have albino offspring, and probably just about ALL corys can, given the right amount of inbreeding give off albino offspring), then the offspring would look like normal ones, but the second generation on would be one quarter albino, and half would have the albino gene for a third generation to give albino fish, and one quarter would be "all normal".
Have a look at this:

ic, thanks alot!
Yes indeed, they are definitely bronze cories as I like bronze cories alot. My Stebai and panda cories are in another tank as bronze cories are much bigger than the other cories i have=)

hey guasr
first of all welcome to PC
my breeding cories are actually 5 normals bronze cories and 2 albinos
i only saw them breed once but i saw them breed together and in the end the fry came out as bronze cory
like mats said the gene would get weaker as they breed
i have never saw an albino offspring

Same here. My 3-4 female bronzes have recently lay some 800 eggs over the last 3 weeks and i checking this batch of 400 eggs if there is any albino. I have no albino females, only 2 male albino bronze cory. I have never had an albino fry/juvenile before. Just wondering if it possible for non albino female bronze cories to lay an albino eggs since you know, unlike animals, the eggs are first made in the female bronze body, and all it takes is for a male albino male to sperm it and we get an batch of egg that will hatch in 3 days. My female bronze to male ration is 4:4.
DJ Jones, is ur female bronze albinos or normal?
My Bronze female lay some 50 eggs yday and today. I prolly lost alot and could not save the rest as my water is chalky and cloudy since i have to go out to work.

To get albino offspring, both parents must carry the albino gene - and if the parent's aren't both albino, only part of the offspring will be albino.
