sharing info about C. Julii and his baby's

Post by oli »

Hi, just to let you (other entousiasts) know.
5 Julii's are living in my comm. tank among 8 other Cors.
By chance i saw one holding an egg between here fins.
I followed here and noticed she layed it to a plant.
The rest off the comm. tank quiqly took "care" of it.
3 hours later i managed saving 9 eggs as two of the julii's apeared to be females and where layang taking turns.
maybe interesting to tell that the eggs came, and where placed one at a time by +/-10min's interval.
Maybe because they are still young and small (about 2,5cm).
The saved eggs are now in a plastic floating tank.
BTW thanks for the info on the site. (C. Aneus). :D

Thanks to Ian Fuller and Coryman for there tips on this site.
4 Days later and 4 of them have hatched, they are about 1 mm.
Will try to get pictures, but my camera can't focus on such small sizes.
