Does anybody know anywhere else to look?
And are they as hard to look after at baby size as ive read on mfk etc?

I'd say Pier Aquatics - or if you want a larger one, there's always E-bay - larger pimelodids are quite often offered up for sale on e-bay.

Considering where you are - Wharf is just up the road. A 3" Tigrinus would be 7" in no time..... A huge saving - and you will need the extra cash for extra large tank as it grows.....

I had no problem with my tig at that size.
Look at aquarists clasifieds they often com up on there and are much cheaper.
They are cool fish too they don't hide out in the daytime like most cats.
