Sex ID of Hypancistrus sp. L411

I have 2 L411. Their size more then 12 cm.
Both of them look to be males. But they are quite fat.

Hard to say, but I think #1 is a pretty certain to be male. #2 I'm less sure about - could be male, could be female.

I would say that you have 2 females, large adult female Hypancistrus species also develope quite good odontod growth but very small on their body when the males is very vissible. Both your speciemen have thin pectoral fins and not the typical ventral shape of fins that males develope.

Actually I have 3 L411 now, but one isn't mine. I need to left a pair to me, and one give away.
I will take some more photos today of all 3 fish.

All look like females! :D
