I'm building an aquarium stand

Hi,
If anyone out there enjoys a nice do it yourself project, I've been working on a stand for my 60g. 95% of the wood used is salvaged crate lumber from my work. There are pictures and notes on the project from the beginning in one of my photobucket albums;

If you select the slideshow option in the upper right of your screen you get a nice walkthru of the process with the notes under the photos.

The album gets updated every time I make any progress or begin a new step.

Thanks for looking, hope you find it interesting.

Looks good. Are you going to use a polyurethane varnish on top?

The stand definitely needs to be protected from the inevitable spillage and the poly should do the trick just fine. After the stain has fully dried, I have clear satin polyurethane ready to apply. Right now I'm thinking three coats, but we will see how my enthusiasm holds up. I'm not much of a fan of any activity involving paint brushes but it needs to be done.
