Hi, I am a Cichlid man that has only ever bought what I would call a nornal Plec before to keep my tank bottom and glass clean. I have recently looked at different types of Plecs, I now have a few different types of Bristle noses. I need advice on how to keep (Water, temp ect) for L200's. I have seen these in my local aquatic store and these to me are something else. My area has a ph of 7.5 and a hardness of aprox 14. What would I have to do for the set up. Any advice would be apreciated. Thanks Lee.

Hi there,

I don't have L200s but I have looked at them and agree they are nice, if I had the space I would definitely get a few of them :)

I suggest a read of this article as a starting point - http://www.planetcatfish.com/cotm/cotm. ... cle_id=151

There are a couple members that have had some success with these, they should be along.

hi there,
i would only buy the L200 (not only one...a min. of 3to 5) if you have a minimum of 250Liters soft wood temperatures of about 28-30°C

they like whole shrimps (but not too much of it) fresh vegetables, different tabs.

but please do not just buy this spezies just because they look nice...make sure your tank is set up for these beauties to make them feel well.

they also need soft water KH of about 3-6

enjoy
